Richfield Swim Meet

This last weekend Steve and the kids went to Richfield for yet another swim meet. Unfortunately, I was too pregnant to go, but Steve did a great job documenting the whole swim meet. The kids all did very good and placed well, but most importantly improved from all of their previous times. They are having such a good time swimming, but are also putting in some serious training. Olivia hopes to be in a "swimming video" like one of these next year......

Elisa swimming her favorite stroke - backstroke, she is in lane 3 (her coach wants her to try competing in an older age group next year)

Here is Michael's backstroke. He is in lane 1 wearing his favorite blue cap with the American flag on it.

Katrina had considerably tougher competition than the other two and she lost her goggles early on in the race which kept her head up higher. She did good and still beat her old time. She is in lane 2 wearing a silver swim cap.

Michael swimming 25 m Butterfly, he is in lane 6. There is a slight exchange between him and the swimmer in lane 5 who informed Michael that he was going to "kick" his butt.... Oh well maybe next time...

Katrina's 50 m Butterfly. Lane 3 :)

Elisa swimming freestyle - lane 4

Michael's 50m freestyle - lane 1

Katrina 50m freestyle - lane 6

The IM's - Individual Medley's. Elisa was put in a heat with the boys and did fairly well, considering she had major trouble with her goggles. Michael remained in the lead until the breast stroke - which is his hardest stroke. Once he gets that down, he will be a tough competitor. Katrina did great and really made a big improvement on her time.

... I tried to updload the IM's, but because they were over 1 minute each, it took way too long.
